The Colegio and Japanese Organizations in the Philippines Sustainable Linkage Initiative launched successfully on October 11th at St. Joseph Function Hall.
Welcomed at this event were distinguished guests such as Mr. MATSUDA Shigehiro, Director of the Japan Information and Culture Center, The Director of The Japan Foundation, Mr. SUZUKI Ben, Dr. Cynthia Neri Zayas, the former Director of UP Diliman Center for International Studies, Letran Calamba Industry and School Partners, decision-makers from the Local Government Unit of Calamba City, and Japanese Companies in the area.
Highlighted through this linkage initiative was the launch of Japanese language courses and intercultural studies and workshop; presentation of how AI, through rinna Co., Ltd., can provide a competitive edge for academia and industry practitioners; Integration of ESG Sustainability on Letran Calamba's teaching and learning; as well as the launch of Letran Calamba's micro-certification courses, in partnership with Audentes Technologies Inc.
A special moment included an appreciation gift from Dr. Ernesto de Pedro, the Managing Trustee of the Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon Foundation, to the Colegio — a stunning statue of Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon, the patron of persecuted Christians and Japanese immigrants.
The event concluded with a special message from Dr. Cynthia Zayas. This event strengthened bonds with industry partners and promised more productive opportunities for students and employees. Notably, it was attended by Japanese companies and Letran Calamba industry partners, marking a great success!
